Behind the Post: Sleep In With Me

I wear lingerie for me.
Because I feel beautiful in it. Because I deserve to be adorned. Because I love loving me.
Sometimes I wear it while creating. Sometimes I’ll wear it with someone I trust. But at the root of it, it’s always for me. It reflects how I feel about myself — soft, sensual, divine. When I see myself in the mirror, I speak love. I always try to meet my own gaze with kindness, with admiration, with something sweet.
This week’s Sleep In With Me post on Brittany LeeAnn was exactly that — a soft moment of intimacy shared but still for me. The lighting was gentle and dreamy, the kind that makes everything feel warm and slow. I took my photos and caught glimpses of myself in the mirror — and smiled. Because I looked beautiful. Because I felt beautiful. Not because of the lingerie, but because of the love behind it.
Creating in lingerie is where I feel flirty, feminine, and deeply at peace. I feel powerful and gentle at the same time. It’s not for performance. It’s presence.
This is what adoring your own company can look like. Wearing lingerie for yourself. Lotion on clean skin. Dancing in the mirror. Lighting your favorite scent. Spraying perfume before bed. I do these things for me — because I notice, because I care, because I love the way it feels to love myself.
You don’t need a partner to feel intimacy. You don’t need anyone else to make you feel desired. You are already worthy of romance — with yourself.
This set reminded me: I am mine first.
And that kind of love always shows.
So wear the pretty thing. Light the candle. Adore yourself.
Not for them. For you.

Beauty is all around and within you.
Love,
Britt 🤍
